Job Title: Craft Studio Team Member - Studio Superstar

Location: Dixie Dot Craft Studio, Kingsway.
Job Type: Part-Time
Salary: Age dependent 

Hours: 2 weekday evenings (6-10pm), every other Saturday 9-6pm. Flexibility for sickness and holiday cover.

About Us:
At Dixie Dot Crafts we are passionate about creativity and bringing people together through the joy of crafting. Our vibrant and happy studio offers a wide range of hands-on experiences, including pottery painting and craft workshops for all ages. We are now looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and creative individual to join our team as a Studio Superstar.

You will have a focus on teaching craft workshops to adults in the evenings and assisting with  the day to day operation of the studio at other times. 

​

Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all visitors, answering inquiries, guiding them through available activities, and ensuring a positive experience in the studio.

• Craft Workshops: Lead engaging craft workshops and pottery painting sessions, ensuring customers feel inspired and supported throughout the creative process.

• Pottery Painting: Assisting customers with pottery painting, offer guidance on techniques, and ensure the pottery is completed to a high standard.

• Studio process - firing and glazing pottery to ensure customers receive their items to the highest standard in a timely manner. Full training is provided. 

• Studio Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting studio environment, including setting up and tidying up after workshops and sessions.

Skills & Experience:

• Customer-focused: Friendly, approachable, and passionate about delivering outstanding service.

• Creative: A love for crafting, art, or pottery with the ability to inspire and guide others.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people of all ages.

• Organised: Ability to multitask, stay organised, and manage time efficiently in a busy studio environment.

• Experience: Previous experience in customer service or craft workshops is a plus but not essential. We are happy to train the right candidate!

• Happy to be work alone as well as as a valuable team member.
